Half Tab helps a group of people work out who owes what after they have spent money together. It keeps your bills on your phone. It does not move money, hold money, or take a cut of it.
Half Tab is published by Soft Crunch. Where these terms say "we" or "us", that is who is meant. You can reach us at [email protected].
You may use Half Tab for your own bills, at no charge. You agree not to use it to break the law, to harass anyone, or to try to get at other people's data.
You are responsible for what you put into it — the names, the amounts and the notes. If you add someone else to a group, only add details you are entitled to share.
Every figure in the app is a record you or someone in your group typed in. Half Tab does not make payments, verify that a payment happened, or guarantee that anyone pays you back.
Splits are arithmetic, not advice. Check the numbers before you settle up. We are not responsible for a disagreement about a bill, or for money that never arrives.
A group stays on your phone unless you choose to put it online. When you do, that group's details are copied to our server so the people you invite can see and add to it. Anyone holding the link or the QR code can ask to join; you decide whether to let them in.
Everyone in a shared group can see the group's expenses, payments and member names. Do not put anything in a shared group that you would not want the whole group to read.
Half Tab Pro is billed monthly or yearly through your Apple ID or Google Play account, at the price shown before you buy. It renews automatically for the same length and price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — not inside Half Tab, since Half Tab is not the one taking payment. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the period already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us directly.
Pro is what keeps a group in step across every phone it is signed in on. Without it, what you enter stays on the phone you are using instead of being sent to our server, and changes made on another phone are not pulled down to this one.
Nothing already on your phone is deleted when Pro ends. Every group you can see stays exactly as it was, and you can keep opening it, adding to it, and exporting it — those entries simply stop leaving the device.
A group your account put online while you were subscribed is unaffected on any phone that had already opened it — the copy on that phone is real data, not a link to the server. A phone that never opened it before Pro ended cannot download it until Pro is active again: the group is not lost, it is on our server and on the phones that already had it, waiting for a subscription to reach it.
Subscribing again picks up where syncing left off; nothing has to be redone.
You can use Half Tab without an account. An account exists only so that groups you put online can follow you to another phone. Signing in is through Google or Apple only — there is no Half Tab password, and no way to register directly. You may delete your account and its data at any time — see the Privacy Policy.
Offline features keep working whether or not our server does. Online features may be interrupted, changed, or withdrawn. We may stop offering the online part of Half Tab, and if we do we will give you a way to export your data first.
Half Tab is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not let us exclude. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
If you got Half Tab through the App Store, this agreement is between you and Soft Crunch, not Apple — Apple is not a party to it and owes you no maintenance or support for the app. Your license only lets you use Half Tab on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store's own rules allow. Soft Crunch, not Apple, is responsible for the app, for any claim that it does not do what we say it does, and for anything the app needs to comply with. You still need to hold up your end of any separate agreement that applies to you, such as your carrier's data plan. Apple and its subsidiaries are third parties who benefit from this agreement and may enforce it against you.
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Half Tab after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Nothing in them takes away consumer rights you have where you live.
